Backyard weddings in Nova Scotia are always some of the best weddings I have ever captured! After meeting Sarah and Ryan during their engagement session I knew their wedding day would be one for the books!

They chose my VIP wedding photography and videography package which included 10 hours of photo + video coverage along with a second shooter to help capture all the magical moments of their day.

Sarah chose to get ready at the beautiful Harmony Homestead just a short drive away from where the wedding reception would take place

One of my favourite trends of 2024 was first looks with EVERYONE! Your partner, parents, bridesmaids, etc.! Sarah opted to do a quick first look with her girls, dad, and soon to be husband and I’m so glad she did! After Sarah and Ryans first look with each other they read private vows before heading to their ceremony down the road.

THE CEREMONY

With her cousins as her flower girls, Sarah walked from her grandmother’s house down the aisle to start the most stunning ceremony overlooking their family farm

FORMAL PHOTOS

With rain clouds rolling in, we sped through the bridal party portraits + formal couples portraits just in time!

We were able to sneak into the cow pasture for a few extra photos before starting the reception

THE RECEPTION

My favorite part of any wedding day is the reception. Getting to hear all the heartfelt speeches from the people who love the couple the most will never get old

After the first dances it was time to start the party and this group hardly left the dancefloor which made for some of the best photos! The entire tent was flooded with string lights and chandeliers which is every photographers dream. These lights created ambient lighting to allow us to capture fun shots while offering depth to the images
